ABOUT YSA
Ysabeaux "Ysa" Ng is an Award-winning Los Angeles-based director, screenwriter, and AFI Conservatory graduate. She has worked as the Director's Assistant to Ang Lee and is developing a slate of narrative work, including the feature adaptation of her short film A Faded Yellow.
Ysa writes to the conundrums of life across genres, from historical adaptation to epic adventure. She has an eye for ethical arrogance and warring languages of love, where tension thrives on weak moral imagination. Her work has been recognized by Final Draft's Big Break, the ISA Fast Track Fellowship, AFI Fest, and Cinequest, among others.
You can find her in the local city garden or on the next metro, sketching a storyboard and sipping milk tea as she appreciates a stranger's umpteenth tangent on how to fix the world. The latest and greatest:
