Ysabeaux "Ysa" Ng is an LA-based screenwriter and director who specializes in family feature screenplays and live-action directing work. Ng holds an MFA in Screenwriting from American Film Institute Conservatory and was selected for the 2025 Children's Media Association Mentorship Program--she now works under the guidance of Emmy award-winning director Rick Fernandes (Paramount+/Sesame Street).

 

Ng's short film "A FADED YELLOW" won first place in the 2022 Mayhew Screenwriting Contest, and its accompanying feature screenplay is a quarterfinalist in the 2025 Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Contest. Ng's animated screenplay "YEAR OF THE RAT" was a 2024 ISA Fast Track Fellowship Selection, and her work on AFI Thesis "LITTLE BIRD" won the 2025 Cinequest Jury Award for Best Student Short.
